We are looking for a strong people leader to lead a team of Solution Architects and help merchants and development partners adopt MCF and BwP services. In this role, you will:
Hire and develop the best storytellers and technologists.
Work with household brands to adopt MCF/BwP services and help them build consumer facing features.
Be an active contributor to shape product roadmaps to improve customer experience.
Create and improve mechanisms for your team to be successful and scale customer delivery by creating high quality, reusable technical artifacts.
An ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working with large/enterprise customers across a range of categories with a deep product and technical understanding of commerce and supply chain systems. As a senior leader in the org, you're expected to work with cross-functional stakeholders (sales, product, engineering), foster trust and productive relationship internally and with external clients. You should be a master of communications, influencing strategic directions at the executive level and the technical integration choices of your clients. You are a problem solver, guiding the team to deliver solutions to customers while driving the org to make the right long-term product investment.
Key job responsibilities
Hire and develop a team of high-performing Solutions Architects who work with large/enterprise customers in the retail sector and development partners, e.g. commerce platforms, ISV, agency, etc.
Engage at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships. Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts.
Collaborate with MCF/BwP product and engineering teams to improve the interface products and create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and documentations.
A day in the life
Participate in the developer feedback program, provide inputs and drive feature/issue prioritization on behalf of customers;
Develop team capacity allocation plan and measure actual delivery against plan;
Continuously identify issues affecting team performance and improve the productivity of the team;
Connect with sales and product leaders to gather feedback, solve team and customer-facing issues, and align on priorities;
Participate in customer-facing engagements from pre-sales pitches to solution design and implementation, inspecting customer engagement outcomes and issues/risks.
About the team
Our team builds a suite of external-facing commerce and fulfillment services to help merchants grow their off-Amazon businesses. MCF enables merchants to use Amazon fulfillment and delivery capabilities to fulfill customer demand off-Amazon, from direct-to-consumer retail sales to logistics for manufacturers. BwP enables brands to offer free shipping and returns for Prime members on their direct-to-consumer channels. We provide these capabilities via programmatic interfaces to larger merchant and enterprise customers, third-party developers and channel partners to integrate into their systems, powering unique commerce experience everywhere.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
Experience in people management and CXO level engagement
Experience managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience helping customers integrate with retail and/or supply chain systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
