Responsibilities
Answer inquiries from staff and management regarding policies, procedures, and initiatives.Verify that benefit plans for employees comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Workers Compensation, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Affordable Care Act.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA.Assist in the creation, execution and management of employee benefit programs that are competitive, cost-effective and complies with regulatory requirements.Assist in designing benefit plans for employees that are tailored to the needs of the business and its workforce. This could mean looking at industry trends and obtaining market data.Collect and evaluate data regarding employee benefit plans, including usage, costs, and participation rates. To assess benefit programs' efficacy and pinpoint areas in need of development.Manage the daily operations of benefit programs for employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.Manage the ACA administration and reporting process.Manage the Worker’s compensation claims administration.Manage the OSHA reporting process.Manage the FMLA, Leave of Absence, ADA, STD, LTD claims administration.Support Open Enrollment by helping with webinar planning, benefits portal implementation, and enrollment administration.Assist with the creations of EDI connection and oversee the weekly vendor connection.Handle employee enrollments for new hires and life events, audit enrollments and billing and fix problems, and respond to employee questions.Oversee the quarterly bill reconciliation and monthly vendor invoicing.Oversee the funding of FSA and HSA plans, 401k changes and loans. And quarterly reconciliation of 401k, FSA, and HSA plans.Assist with staff benefits such as Tuition reimbursement and employee referral programs, ex.Develop and implement communication strategies to let employees know about their benefits and encourage them to participate in programs that are available. As well as organizing enrollment meetings, making presentations, and writing written materials.Takes part in annual audits.Assist with due diligence, benefits census creation and reports.Oversee the wellness initiative for employees. Such as planning events and overseeing the wellness budget.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experienceHuman Resources experience of at least five years is required.Interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.Bilingual SpanishBenefits as a Related Employee:
