C2 seeks a

Business Development Director

to lead corporate business development initiatives. Reports to the General Manager. Position is classified as hybrid, location Orlando, FL.

POSITION DESCRIPTION Leads, plans, directs, and coordinates opportunity identification and qualification, customer relationship management, competitive intelligence, price-to-win, customer analysis, and capture team leadership. Responsible for making timely decisions related to growth opportunities, including maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities, getting the capture team resourced, determining strategies, teaming and partnering, solution alternatives, and managing the customer relationships.

This position requires close collaboration with: Business unit leaders to qualify new business opportunities, Project Managers and/or Program Managers to establish a profitable and executable solution, Proposal Manager to develop a compelling and compliant proposal, HR staff to ensure compliance with HR guidelines, Contracts staff to ensure that all necessary terms, conditions, and contractual provisions of the proposal are compliant and to ensure that teaming and sub-contractor agreements are in place and Financial staff to build cost and pricing models and proposals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to develop strategic plans, comprehensive account plans, and identify and qualify new business opportunities. Develop, maintain, and continually progress a pipeline of strategically relevant business opportunities aligned with the company's top priority opportunities. Assess, establish, and build effective customer relationships both externally and throughout the organization and be comfortable with supporting client meetings and events in a host or participant role. Demonstrated ability to execute the business development function with minimum supervision. Developing and executing effective call plans for meetings with target clients, program managers, and industry partners. Building and maintaining positive relationships with Government representatives and industry teaming. Interface and manage teaming partners for existing relationships as well as developing potential future partners for upcoming opportunities. Representing the company at various conferences, events, industry days, and other forums such as NTSA, NDIA, FORCECON, MVTSS, TSIS, PALTS, SCTFs, AFA, AUSA, etc. Serve on industry boards of professional development organizations such as I/ITSEC, AFA, AUSA, etc. and speak/demo at conferences and trade shows. Active on social media such as LinkedIn Support pre-award contract transition activities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree 6+ years of experience supporting marketing, business development, operations, and/ capture efforts within a government contracting environment. Knowledge of the Defense and Federal procurement process, and a demonstrated proficiency with Department of Defense strategy and acquisition plans. Proven record of delivering winning capture/opportunities and supporting programs within DoD or other US Government. Ability to work under pressure, organize priorities, deal with interruptions, possess above average communication skills, and maintain flexibility and confidentiality. Participation in industry professional development organizations. Proficiency in business and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Social Media, Sales Force, DOMO, Deltek, etc. Ability to lead, write and contribute to winning proposals Ability to work collaboratively across the company. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Advance degree in Education, Educational Technology, Information Technology, computer science, political science, marketing or other related field. Formal training and experience in capture and proposal process. Extremely high level of communication skills to present, inform, and persuade high-level internal and external customer's business development and capture plans, strategies and actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Current or former board member on industry boards. PMP certification or PgMP
