SUMMARY:
Responsible for timely and accurate maintenance of data for materials and purchasing as well as purchase order integrity Understand and align business operations and Supply Chain, Logistics, and Procurement while executing their position to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintain proper inventory levels to insure smooth operations in any market.
Maintain good supplier relationships.
Supports mill and department goals in safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Assist with vendor setups
Site Champion for Procure to Pay Process. (P2P)
Support spare parts warehousing duties
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Four-year degree preferred or;
compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
3-5 years of extensive knowledge of supply chain and purchasing
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Working knowledge of trucking transportation modes/cost.
Working knowledge of railroad transportation modes/cost.
Solid/working knowledge of cost analysis and inventory control.
Solid/working knowledge of market analysis and forecasting.
Proficient in MS Office
Strong Understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Strong interpersonal communications such as recommending, directing, and influencing.
Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills.
Continuous Improvement mindset, initiative and drive for results.
Ability to positively contribute and deliver results in a team orientated work environment.
Ability to plan, organize and communicate to achieve goals.
Good oral and written communication skills. Job requires composing written communications such as letters, procedures, and reports/proposals.
Ability to define problems, collect data to establish facts, and implement sustainable solutions.
Work involves confidential and sensitive information. Discretion is essential.
Strong analytical and organization skills, detail orientation and interpersonal skills.
