Peraton is seeking an
IT Operations Manager.Location: Washington DC Metro AreaRole:Experienced technical leader with background in IT Service Management (ITSM), 24x7 Tier1 IT Support Operations, Systems Administration, and Incident Management to serve as an IT Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will provide functional and technical leadership for the Customer Service & Technical Support, Systems Administration, and Network Services Support teams.In the role, you will:Ensure all contractual responsibilities and deliverables are being met in accordance with the contracts Performance Work Statement (PWS).Regular briefing to the federal client.Maintain positive client relationships.Drive the enhancement of a service catalog encompassing all Operational support activities.Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Support Desk, Systems Administration, and Networking teams. Ensure 24x7 operational support and availability of critical cybersecurity systems and services.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and security. 24x7 Team Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the 24x7 Support Desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to support desk activities. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery.
System Administration Management:
Manage the Systems Administration team responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of servers, workstations, and cybersecurity systems.Ensure the integrity, availability, and security of all systems and data.Oversee patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system performance monitoring.
Networking Management:
Lead the Networking team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure. Ensure network security, performance, and reliability.Oversee network troubleshooting, optimization, and capacity planning.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align cybersecurity operations with organizational goals.Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing regular updates on operational status, risks, and initiatives.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the Cyber Operations Division.
Qualifications
Required:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.12 years of experience in IT, Cyber Security, and/or other projects related to critical network infrastructure protection.ITIL 4 CertificationMinimum of 5 years experience with IT Service Management utilizing the ITIL Framework.Minimum of 5 years experience with IT infrastructure support.Minimum of 5 years experience with 24x7 IT Support operations.Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.U.S. citizenship required.An active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
