Superior is currently seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Houston, TX (On-Site).
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel, Superior Energy Services, Inc. (“Superior”) is seeking a talented Paralegal to serve as litigation and contract support specialist for the company. Superior is a global oilfield products and services company with a portfolio of premier rental and well servicing brands.
Responsibilities will include providing support to the legal department in litigation matters and assisting with contract lifecycle management, document control and corporate records.
The selected candidate will:
Work closely with internal and external counsel including coordinating document production, responding to discovery requests, and assisting with case management and trial preparation
Prepare summaries of relevant cases and help build case strategies for litigation.
Manage e-discovery processes and ensure adherence to legal holds and data preservation protocols for response efforts.
Liaise with internal and external auditors with respect to litigation matters.
Support the Contracts and Compliance Officer in managing the company's contract lifecycle, including gathering contract in-take data for contract review requests and tracking contract renewals and deadlines, and running third party due diligence, vendor registration requirements and UBO requests.
Assist the Legal Administrator in maintaining corporate records, including organizing and updating corporate books, records, and filings.
This is a full-time office position based at our Downtown offices in Houston, Texas.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Paralegal certification or equivalent training is advantageous.
A minimum of 4 years working as a paralegal in a corporate legal department or law firm with focus on litigation and familiarity with contract management and corporate record keeping practices.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A positive attitude, high energy, desire to grow with the business and help maximize opportunities.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
Precision and careful attention to detail.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
