The Role:
As a Senior IoT Architect, you will collaborate with engineering and IT teams to design, build, and support Internet-of-Things (IoT) or business-critical enterprise environments.You will be a Subject Matter Expert in one or more strategic focus areas such as Integration, Security, Infrastructure, or Cloud Computing, while also contributing across other areas.Your responsibilities will include evaluating cloud, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies, driving technical strategy, and managing projects up to an enterprise level deployment.You will also set the implementation approach for customer and supplier activities, ensuring successful project delivery.Additionally, you will champion industry best practices, influence technical direction, and mentor team members.What You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Industrial IoT and embedded systems.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in architecting, designing, and developing distributed, real-time applications using tools and technologies like Kafka, MQTT, Containers, Kubernetes, and API gateways.Experience with Manufacturing data collection systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and Historians.Experience with Ignition SCADA.Strong understanding of Industrial IoT architectures, protocols, and standards such as MQTT, Sparkplug B, and MODBUS.Experience with edge computing platforms and cloud-based IoT services (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub).Experience with high-level languages like Java or C# and scripting languages such as Python or Node.js.Experience with Time Series databases for Historians.Experience developing and deploying cloud applications using AWS or other cloud platforms.Experience with containerization and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes.Strong understanding of Microservices-based software design principles and best practices.
