Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Project Manager, or higher level, to join our growing Water Resources team in Ohio!Water is the most plentiful, yet critical resource on the planet. Our water resources professionals specialize in critical practice areas, understand watershed dynamics and offer an extensive range of water resource planning and design experience, flood risk management, dam safety and environmental compliance. Our holistic approach to water resources projects ensures the best outcome for our clients and the ecosystem.Responsibilities
Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval by department manager.Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development.Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables, and man power needed on projects.Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-determined goal.Solicit help and involvement from managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices, and enhancing corporate objectives.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.8+ years of related work experience is required.Current OH licensure or the ability to become licensed is required.Prior experience with Ohio DNR and public/private dams is highly desirable.Knowledge of Ohio state regulations.Ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients.Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis or geotechnical analysis in stability evaluations and seepage analyses.Prior experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the business.Previous mentoring and coaching experience is a plus.Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
