Work Eligibility & Travel Requirements

5 days a week in office at our Jackson, Michigan Manufacturing Plant.Interns will be required to be onsite at the Corporate Jackson office from May 19 - May 22 for onboarding, and from August 6 - 8 for final presentations. These are mandatory participation dates for the internship program.What Does It Take to be an Intern at Dawn Foods?Below are the minimum qualifications for the Dawn Inspire Internship Program.Must be pursuing a relevant bachelor's or master's degree (i.e., Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline).The candidate should be entering their junior year or beyond.Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards.Basic knowledge of relevant concepts, principles and tools as demonstrated by completion of relevant coursework.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

What You'll Do as an InternCoordinate and deliver assigned project work.Conduct research on assigned People projects and present potential solutions to the team.Collaborate with cross-functional Team Members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts.Shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest.Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals.Take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas.Contribute unique perspective and input to ongoing Human Resources initiatives.Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Internship Program.Identified projects that you will be responsible for include, but may not be limited to:Centralizing our resources and toolkits to support the Human Resource team alignment as well as providing a central resource for Team Members.Data analysis and system review to create consistency in process and data.
