Description

Shinda is looking for a Legal Coordinator to join our Property Management Legal Team. The Legal Coordinator will focus on Landlord and Tenant issues. They will also be required to be in constant communication with Team Members, Property Managers, Residents, and Attorneys.

Essential Role and Responsibilities

Draft legal order sheets to start holdover and non-payment cases.

Draft reminder letters to be delivered to residents.

Review and enter stipulation cases. Draft general activity to adjust account balance per stipulation.

Support attorney calls from court for cases.

Answer inquiries from residents in connection with legal issues.

Review Property Manager Rent Rolls and compare to attorney reports

Prepare and maintain legal status spread sheet.

Interface with Property Managers - requesting updates, court stipulations and legal order sheets – as required and where applicable.

Send rent breakdowns

Open non-pay cases

Approve invoices

Create trial packets

Complete monthly reports

Prepare report for end of month legal percentages

Process late notices

Scan court stipulations and follow up on repairs

Pay: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Position Requirements

Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in Legal with a Property Management company

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word, Experience in YARDI preferred
