Job Description:
Provide IA security support services to NAVWAR PMO for programs and projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assess classified network and communications by providing expertise for Risk Management Framework (RMF), Information Security and Policy (ISP), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) scans and certifications/audit requirements
Review existing documentation, IA controls, and DISA STIG implementations for applicability as part of developing IT system security documentation for IA compliance
Interpret and implement DOD and IC information security and program protection regulations and guidance in support of PMO projects
Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity plans for PMO systems
Assist with the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, process IT security paperwork and system access requests
Lead and perform comprehensive information assurance and cybersecurity functions in support of United States Navy systems and in accordance with CS TA requirements, the DoD 8500 Series, and the NIST SP800 Series, including RMF
Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), APMs, and other designated personnel in the execution of RMF, with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance, program/project Configuration Management, and compliance with NAVWAR Technical Authority products and processes. Examine system architectures, engineering processes, and cybersecurity functionality for all PMO programs and projects, manage, and maintain system accreditations
Provide certification and accreditation recommendations to obtain Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authority to Operate (ATO), Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) or similar Platform IT certifications for PMO programs and projects
Provide recommendations to the Information Assurance and Cybersecurity Collaboration and Escalation processes packages
Provide recommendations to the Information Assurance Strategy (IAS) as well as other IA and CS related documents
Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of professional experience performing cybersecurity functions in DoD or Navy organizations
Proficient knowledge of MS Office software
Education Requirements:
Master’s Degree or four additional years’ relevant experience
