Manage a team of 5-7 Technical Project Managers, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and performance management
Mentor and coach project managers to improve their project management skills and ensure they are aligned with PMO best practices and organizational goals
Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
Work closely with project managers to track project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues
Partner with the PMO Leader to oversee the execution of "mission critical" alternative energy initiatives that are essential to business growth and success
Contribute to the development of project management methodologies, templates, and standards within the PMO
Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular project updates and status reports
Ensure clear communication and alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the PMO to enhance project delivery, resource utilization, and overall team performance
Support the development and maintenance of project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
Support the PMO Leader in managing the PMO's budget and ensure resource allocation aligns with project and organizational priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
PMP Certification
Kaizer or Six Sigma Certified
10+ years of experience in project management , managing multiple projects concurrently
5+ years of experience managing project managers
or teams directly
Proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing project managers
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage complex, large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders
Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools like MS Project, Jira, etc.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
Familiarity with Alternative Energy or Government Relations projects are a plus
