Network Solutions Architect

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Solutions Architect with a strong background in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco and Aruba network solutions. This role will involve working closely with clients to architect cutting-edge, scalable, and secure networking environments to support business objectives. You will be a key player in providing technical leadership and strategic direction, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Architecture Design: Develop end-to-end network architectures using Cisco and Aruba technologies, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security that resolve identified Solution Implementation: Lead and oversee the deployment of network solutions, ensuring best practices for performance, security, and scalability and compliance with federal security standards and regulations. Client Consultation: Collaborate and consult with network stakeholders to gather requirements, assess network environments and present design options and transition plans that enable customers to adopt new technologies aligned to business objectives. System Integration: Integrate new network solutions with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption. Troubleshooting and Support: Address connectivity problems, latency issues, and security vulnerabilities impacting performance and reliability. Provide Tier 3/4 support for critical or escalated network issues, ensuring rapid resolution. Documentation and Training: Create detailed design documents, assessments, diagrams, and network configuration templates. Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams and clients. Innovation & Strategy: Stay up to date with the latest developments in networking technology, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in network design and strategy. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Network Architect or Senior Network Engineer. Proven expertise in Cisco networking technologies (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki, ASA, etc.). Strong knowledge of Aruba network solutions (e.g., Aruba Central, ClearPass, AirWave, Mobility Controllers). Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPN, and network security technologies. Cisco CCNP/CCIE and/or Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX)/ACSP or similar certifications preferred. Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLAN). Experience in designing and implementing SD-WAN solutions. Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices (e.g., IPSec, 802.1X, NAC). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills. Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time. Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud solutions. Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting). Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios). Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Existing or recent federal agency EOD or clearance. Work authorization/security clearance requirements
