The Bunzl Safety Division is currently seeking a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator for our location in Memphis, TN. The Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the company's foreign-trade zone. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, maintains accurate documentation, coordinates with various departments, and optimizes FTZ benefits for the company. This position is on-site in Memphis and will include conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly processes required to administer a compliant and efficient Foreign Trade Zone.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, file, and submit all daily FTZ admissions (e-214)

Prepare weekly estimates and entries to CBP (3461 & 7501)

Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual FTZ forms and reports necessary for FTZ operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy

Maintain proper record keeping required for management of the FTZ

Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system

Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the FTZ

Process and verify FTZ-related data

Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure the accuracy of integration and information

Provide compliance-related audits of the FTZ warehouse and ensure security measures are in place

Multitask, prioritize, and problem solve

Manage professional customer service and maintain customer success

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED/equivalent required

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field preferred

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification preferred

3+ years of experience administering a foreign trade zone or related professional import experience in a real-world environment

Demonstrated knowledge or experience of various Customs/Logistics concepts, including Trade Agreements/Qualification, Classification, Valuation, FTZ Warehouse Operations, Import/Export Requirements, Customs Entry Procedures, and Broker Management

Experience preparing and filing CBP Form 214

Understanding of HTSUS merchandise classification and import transactions

Understanding of U.S. import and export regulations and practices

Understanding of inventory control, receiving, shipping, and transactions that affect material flow

Experience with inventory management systems

Working knowledge of logistics activities, including import activities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team or alone with little supervision

In-depth experience using Microsoft Office

Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and FTZ policies

Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in FTZ management software
