The Senior Business Analyst, will be a key member of the Configure, Price & Quote digital transformation project working closely with stakeholders from various business units to understand their needs and translate them into functional requirements. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring the successful implementation of the CPQ solution. More specifically, in this role, the Business Analyst will work closely with the SMEs for Pure's business processes around subscription quoting, assets-based orders quoting, pricing models, upgrades and expansions scenarios, contract pricing, channel pricing, approval workflows for different transactions types, document generation for commercial terms, and all integration points with contract management, document generation, order management, CRM, partner portal, and Pure1 (SaaS - Customer Interface). Business Analyst will also work closely with the project cross-functional team and play the role of the primary point of contact to ensure 100% coverage for Business Acceptance and User Acceptance testing planning and execution.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
Analyze existing configuration, pricing, and quote processes to identify areas for improvementConduct process analysis and mapping using Lucidchart and other diagramming toolsCreate detailed process diagrams, flowcharts, and documentation to visualize current and future state processesFacilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to drive consensus and validate requirementsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for the CPQ implementationDevelop functional specifications and work closely with the technical team to ensure alignment with business requirementsSupport the design, testing, and implementation of the CPQ solution, ensuring it meets business needs and objectivesAssist in the development and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, including test cases and scenariosProvide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of the new CPQ systemAct as a liaison between business units and the project team to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goalsMonitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely deliveryPrepare and present regular status reports to project stakeholders and senior managementMonitor and evaluate the impact of process changes, providing ongoing support and adjustments as neededStay current with industry trends, methodologies, and tools related to business process management and improvementWHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related fieldMaster's Degree, advanced degree preferredProven experience as a Business Analyst in ERP CPQ or similar digital transformation projects with a strong focus on process analysis and improvementFunctional experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Product Management a plusExpertise in creating lucid and process diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Microsoft Visio, or similar softwareFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and CPQ tools (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, SAP CPQ, Logik.io, etc.)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and team membersKnowledge of business process management (BPM) methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, BPMN) is a plusExpertise in Oracle and SAP systems is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.Highly analytical, fact driven, and is process-oriented.You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to comply with Pure's Hybrid Work Policy. There will be variations over periods of time, depending on business needs.
The annual base salary range is: $145,000.00 - $218,000.00.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
