Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and execution of 2nd line QA over a variety of 1st line testing functions including but not limited to Control, Issue Management, Change Management, Call Monitoring, Compliance QC, Default QC and Special Assessments. This may include the development of test scripts, queries, audits, and questionnaires all with the intent of validating 1st line QC effectiveness and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Creates and revises test questions, queries, and procedures for ongoing structured Default QC testing of the team's testing scheduleReview of various QC Sampling methodologies and executionReview of various QC Policy and Procedures for accuracy and effectivenessExecutes control testing over 1st line control testing executionExecutes testing over Issue Management activities post closureExecutes testing over Change Management activities post closureExecutes testing over Compliance loan level testing for purpose of validating test results, sample selections, reporting accuracy, completeness of testingExecutes validation of QC results over call monitoring, e-mail, task, and chat.Development of exception based testing queries with a focus, but not a limitation, on fee testing.Executes various administration controlsAssist in development and submission of identified findings into Issue Management intakeAssists the department managers in creating and providing daily reporting on testing activities to the Quality Assurance teamTroubleshoots and resolves testing system of recordGenerate and provide reporting of testing results (including trending of results) for Management review/approvalEnsures that the company and lines of business are kept up to date with executed QA resultsParticipates in training to effectuate subject matter expertise on all applicable requirements and business proceduresSchedules testing of assigned workload to ensure completeness of monthly testing scheduleAdheres to all reporting requirements and oversees the production of periodic reports when requiredParticipates in systems, applications, and procedures training in order to ensure all staff have appropriate tools for successful completion of jobStays abreast of policy and regulatory changes to maintain subject matter expertiseParticipates in risk- and control-related special projects as assigned by LeadershipAssists department manager in developing changes in processAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standardsOther duties and projects as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience5 years of quality assurance/control, mortgage banking, auditing, or other relevant experienceKnowledge of sound risk management practices for mortgage servicing functions and demonstrated understanding of risk management and internal control principlesAbility to analyze and credibly assess the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls, as well as the operational and financial impact of findings and control issuesAbility to recognize and understand how to assess process risks and controlsAbility to work effectively across the organization to ensure that controls are effectively implemented and monitoredAbility to understand how to develop testing based on applicable mortgage loan servicing requirements and proceduresProficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointKnowledge of databases preferred, with ability to write and understand SQLExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbalAbility to work independently as a highly motivated team player and self-starter
