We offer a variety of programs including residential support, day programs, employment assistance, early intervention, and behavior management.
Job Description: Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)? Join our team as a Group Home Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of group home facilities, ensuring the health, safety, and development of both residents and staff. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management:
Oversee the daily operations of assigned group homes, ensuring overall health, safety, and development.Relationship Building:
Create meaningful relationships with individuals served and implement person-centered support plans.Service Plan Implementation:
Develop and implement individual service plans in collaboration with the team.Supervision:
Independently supervise all functions of the group home, including staff and residents.Scheduling:
Schedule staff shifts and approve earned time, ensuring adequate coverage.Community Engagement:
Schedule and participate in various community outings with residents.Administrative Duties:
Maintain group home facilities and perform necessary administrative tasks.Transportation:
Transport individuals served to appointments and community activities.Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.Experience:
Demonstrated experience working with individuals with IDD preferred; supervisory experience preferred.Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills.Flexibility:
Must be flexible with hours and available on-call daily for assigned homes.Requirements:
Reliable transportation, valid Alabama driver's license, and ability to pass pre-employment screening.Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, standing, walking, driving, pulling, restraining, and walking up and down stairs.Ability to perform outdoor physical activities.Benefits:
