REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL / ATHLETIC SUPERVISOR

SUMMARY: To provide each enrolled student of high school age an opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity that will foster physical skills, a sense of worth and competence, a knowledge and understanding of sports and the principles of fair play.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned. Assist in the organization and administration of the overall program of extracurricular athletics. Foster good school community relations. Assist in the scheduling of athletic contests. Assist in the scheduling of transportation when necessary. Develop appropriate rules and regulations governing student conduct during after school events. Requisition supplies when necessary. Arrange details of visiting teams' needs. Primarily manages after-school and evening sporting events

EXPECTATIONS: Staff assigned to these positions is expected to perform their duties with the following expectations in mind: 1. All supervisory responsibilities must be fulfilled. In particular, students must be supervised at all times. 2. Ability to read, interpret directions, write reports and communicate effectively with students, parents and other staff. 3. Ability to calculate figures and perform any math functions associated with the position and provides budget input when requested. 4. Ability to apply common sense and deal with problems in a practical and reasonable manner. 5. Ability to apply basic computer knowledge to the activity at hand. 6. Ability to perform duties with all district and Board of Education guidelines and policies in mind. 7. Knowledge of and/or experience in the activity. 8. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position that may vary widely depending on the activity.

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the teachers negotiated A-2 schedule
