Primary Responsibilities:
Perform standard Linux System Administration duties as required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems consisting of Linux based application and license servers, virtual machines, and GP/GPU cluster-based systems. Coordination with network administrators required. Additional duties are:Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage spaceDeveloping and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resourcesParticipating in the installation, integration, acceptance testing, and on-going maintenance of our HPC systems and software environmentAssisting with forecast resource limitations and provide recommendations for increasing the efficiency of our resources through proper scheduling and load balancing techniquesRequirements
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' working experience, or equivalent experience; candidates with Armed Forces college courses or Associate Degrees, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply4+ years' experience with Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/CentOS operating systems (OS) and Intel central processing units (CPU)DoD 8570 certification - Security + and OS cert, Linux+, RedHat, etc. (90 day waiver may be provided to obtain the OS certification)Willingness to occasionally work after hours and/or respond to emergency situations for problem resolutionGeneral knowledge of Linux systems concepts as well as systems administration experienceAbility to develop and maintain documentation on system administration procedures for routine and complex tasksAbility to create and maintain Information Assurance (IA) compliance documentation of the Information SystemTop Secret Security ClearancePreferred qualifications:Experience with various HPC technologies:Cray/Cray EX, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or custom architecturesLinux variants OSInfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnectsPortable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulersIntel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUsNvidia graphic processing units (GPU)sITIL FoundationWhy IronArch Technology?Awarded Best Place to Work 8 times!Competitive compensation and market-leading bonus opportunitiesMedical, dental and vision benefits where a significant portion of the premium is subsidized by IronArch.
