Senior Capture Manager

Metric5 is seeking to hire a Senior Capture Manager to serve as the lead Capture Manager for our business development efforts. This role will focus on growing our business by positioning Metric5 to win new business pursuits. The role will pursue business with diverse customers across the Civilian, Health, and DoD Federal markets. The proper candidate will successfully demonstrate the ability to lead complex capture and proposal pursuits and develop effective BD and Capture for Metric5 processes. Reporting to the Sr. Director for Growth and Solutions, this position will work across many internal and external groups, including Business Development, Contracts, Finance, and Operations. The role requires strong communication, collaboration, and task management skills.
Essential Functions:
Capture:Analyze solicitations (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.) with Metric5 leadership and the Business Development team and prepare recommendations for Bid/No-Bid decisions.Upon a decision to pursue a contract opportunity and commit to Capture, engage with the Business Development team and others in executing the Metric5 Capture Process through rigorous planning, execution, and oversight of activities to improve Metric5's probability of winning the work.Cultivate team understanding of the customer's mission, strategy, unmet needs, problems, hot buttons, most important requirements, biases, barriers, etc.Tailor the Metric5 the Capture Process to efficiently meet specific capture needs while providing appropriate business/leadership insight for effective decision-making.Lead/engage in independent reviews of the winning strategy (Blue Team), competitive analysis/information (Black Hat), customer assessments, Price to Win (PTW), etc.Ensure major decision gates are prepared and presented to include necessary information/artifacts to make an informed go/no-go decision. Provide a positive yet realistic outlook on the chances of a successful pursuit.Collaborate across all internal and external stakeholders and collaborate with them to determine winning strategies toward winning strategies.
Proposals:Lead proposal lead in working with the proposal manager by clearly communicating win strategies, contributing to written responses, evaluating proposal documents for compliance, properly reflecting the winning strategy, and reflecting the client's needs and desires.Analyze solicitations (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.) with other customer requirements and communications to assess and determine structure and ensure compliance.Develop and maintain a Capture Plan for targeted pursuitsEnsure the capture strategy is transitioned into proposal win themes, strengths, and discriminators via storyboarding, leading workshops, etc.
Other:Demonstrate ability, inspiring trust and establishing credibility, both with team and leadership.Maintain standard archiving, lessons learned, and improvementsDevelop and implement process improvements to help increase proposal qualityMaintain a flexible schedule, which may include evenings or weekends as required
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and at least ten years of experience in either business development functions (proposal, client relations) or program management with at least five years of capture management.Five or more years of experience working with Federal government solicitations and proposalsKnowledge or familiarity with competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, proposal/color team leadership, and PTW analysisDemonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams (internal and external) and be able to assist in resolving conflictsDisciplined, self-starting professional who can bring projects to closure with limited guidance and oversightPossess written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and an ability to manage and consolidate inputs from diverse contributors.Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, SharePoint, and other collaboration toolsProximity to the Washington, DC area is strongly preferredMust be available to travel as necessary. If needed, travel would be intermittent.
Salary Range:
$155,000 - $185,000 annually
