ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside has been proudly serving children and families since 1967. We are one of the premier non-profits in the Inland Empire and looking for an incredible Human Resources Leader to join our dynamic team. We are a highly driven and mission-focused organization in need of an energetic, people-focused, organized, and committed professional to fill the critical role of Director of Human Resources. The Club's impact extends throughout several sites across the Inland Empire, Redlands, and areas of the High Desert.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Our newest Human Resources Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and collaborates with management to support operations by providing counsel to management in the development and implementation of policies and practices that comply with all applicable regulations and are consistent with the Boys and Girls Club's mission and values.
The HR Generalist will implement and administer HR initiatives, programs, and policies including Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Leadership and Professional Development Training, HR Compliance, and Total Rewards.
Duties/Responsibilities: Partner with Management team to ensure people strategies align while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Boys and Girls Club's mission and values. Provide management with counseling, coaching, feedback, and solutions on the full range of human capital management issues/concerns. Partner closely with management team to provide strategic and tactical support on all key HR activities and change initiatives. Assist with resolving conflicts, addressing complaints, and managing working relationships Review and interpret Boys & Girls Club policies and procedures with management and employees as needed. Ensure all appropriate employee records are collected and transferred to the Employee files accurately and on a timely basis. Monitor identify and report incidents of potential employment violations, immediately to the HR Director. Facilitate offboarding whether it be voluntary or involuntary in collaboration with HR Director. Review and approve change of status forms. Respond to inquiries, emergencies, or injuries involving employees, volunteers, or students. Maintain a high level of confidentiality in employee, student, and management items. Ensure employee's information is properly managed in company HRIS. Mitigate worker's compensation claims by having a proactive approach to safety. Responsible for worker's compensation reporting and disability process including effective tracking and follow-up mechanisms. Monitor Leaves of Absence, including FFCRA, FMLA, STD, and LTD, and work with vendors as necessary. Provide information and guidance to employees and volunteers to support management decision-making about policy issues, employee relations, employee development needs, compensation, and benefits practices. In collaboration with management support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals and objectives. Provide training opportunities to the management team and to the employees that support the understanding and use of principles and techniques that assure inclusiveness amongst all diverse members of our team and our members. Collaborate with Directors and assist with planning annual All Staff Training and Leadership training. Ensure the organization's HR and Training processes comply with BGCA membership guidelines. Assist with tracking all trainings and update the necessary managers to ensure staff are current. Assist with conducting CPR training weekly or as needed. Encourages proactive strategies for responding to employee relations issues to minimize potential expenses. Review and reconcile Human Resource related bills/invoices. Ensure a productive work environment that encourages positive, effective working relationships and open communications that are respectful of the gender and cultural diversity of Club employees, volunteers, and members. Takes prompt, appropriate action to respond to conflicts between employees. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. Human Resources certification is a plus. 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role. including employee relations, coaching, counseling, leadership development, talent management, and legal compliance. Strong knowledge of California and Federal HR regulations including Wage & Hour, Title VII, FLMA, CFRA, ADA, etc. to ensure compliance. Effective at making presentations and influencing others. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting human resources management. Current knowledge of best practices in human resources management. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Experience with HRIS systems - ADP preferable Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills to manage broad-scope job responsibilities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
TRAVEL:
Local travel is required. Candidate will need to have reliable transportation throughout the Riverside and San Bernardino County area.

Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices, and proactive communication. Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training.
