To increase SMA Aftermarket market share in designated industries including but not limited to establishing a product preference with major potential customers, managing project leads, and mentoring the sales force.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
Train District Managers in repair and service knowledge (2 regions)Assist District Managers in each repair opportunity - front end scope definitionManager communication between field and factoryUse the Decision Tree to route opportunitiesMake direct sales calls to target accountsJoint sales calls with District ManagersOn-site customer training individually and with District ManagersOn-site root cause solutions assistanceSales Quota responsibilitySales reports and forecastingSales call reports and SalesforceQuotes for tear-down charges and simple repairsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.Extensive experience in Heavy and Material Handling industries.Considerable experience with Strategy Development, Budget Management, and Project Management.Must be proactive, outgoing, self-motivated and self-directed with a strong record of sales/market planning, client development, and follow through and overcoming barriers to sales.Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to adapt to audience and project competence and confidence when speaking to range of audiences and groups.Demonstrated technical proficiency in strategic selling disciplines.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Must be able to perform a considerable amount of travel (50-75%).Field service experience is desirable.Membership in multiple local industry organizations is desirable.Any additional essential skills and/or knowledge as shown in the HRIS Career & Education > Skills section for incumbents holding this job title.
