Job Description
ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join our growing Proposal Operations Center. This is a remote position with travel requirements (mainly within the Washington DC metropolitan area but can be throughout the US).
Key Role: Collaborate with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand solutions, identify and document discriminators and innovations, and write proposal content that is compliant and compelling. Incorporate themes and key messages to differentiate proposals from competitors, interview SMEs, and write technical and management proposal sections for Federal Government proposals. Responsibilities include the following:
Write assignments, varying in length and detail, for various sized Federal Government responses, including large, complex RFPs that require research, analysis, creativity, and judgment to write a compelling, compliant responseLead technical and management proposal volumes and coordinate writing assignments among SMEs, subcontractors, and other proposal writersCollaborate closely with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, SMEs, Proposal Coordinators, and Graphic ArtistsConduct compliance reviews, identify gaps, and collaborate across ASRC Federal, its subsidiaries, and ASRC Federal subcontractors to enhance contentQualify ASRC capabilities; comply with RFP requirements and legal guidelinesParticipate in Color Team reviewsSupport the gathering, writing, archiving, and indexing of corporate processes and re-use data for ASRC Federal knowledge base librariesRequirements
Demonstrated experience in identifying, decomposing, and responding to Federal Government solicitations for technical, management, resume, past performance, past experience, and total compensation plan requirements10+ years of Federal Government experience as proposal author and Volume Lead. Education may be used in lieu of experience.Experience developing or refining Information Technology (IT) solutions and supporting technical teams in focusing and articulating a technical approach preferred.Ability to organize, manage, and collaborate with other authors and various levels of internal staff and teammatesAbility to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments and meet critical deadlinesDemonstrated experience in developing annotated outlines and response mockups for proposals or other Federal Government responsesWillingness to work non-traditional work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as neededMust be able to travel to be on-site with bid teams to collaborate and develop proposal sectionsBachelor's degree required (English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or IT concentration preferred). Experience may be used in lieu of degree.APMP Certification and experience coordinating with Pricing personnel a plus
