As Lead Architect, Security Engineering, you will build NewsBreak's security platform and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Key responsibilitiesDevelop and execute the overall security engineering strategy aligned with the organization's goals.Oversee the design and implementation of security architectures, including networks, systems, and applications.Lead the design, implementation, and management of security infrastructure and policies.Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the organization's technology environment.Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure security strategies support business objectives.Requirements
Bachelors in Computer Science or relevant field10+ years of experience in a security engineering or similar role, with at least 4+ years in a technical leadership/architect roleExperience in developing, implementing and monitoring information security operationsSolid understanding of modern cloud architecture in AWS, Kubernetes, etc.Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, CIS 20 or NIST, SOC2Solid understanding of key data protection regulations including GDPR & CCPAExperience in collaborating with XFN partners including R&D, Legal, Trust and Safety etc.Strong communication skills with a can-do attitude; Strong sense of ownershipPassion for startup is a plusBenefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
