McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational solutions, is looking for a Product Design Supervisor within our K-12 division who will be responsible for developing and implementing the design vision, strategy, and workflow to build world-class educational products for our Literacy portfolio. The Product Design Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of product designers and collaborating across cross-functional teams to create and deliver effective and engaging, print and digital, teaching and learning experiences.

It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation. This is a remote position, candidates will ideally reside the Central or Eastern time zones within the United States.

What you will be doing:

Manage a team of Product Designers focused on media to create engaging, effective, user-centered media that is delivered on time, scalable, accessible and within budget.Contribute to portfolio plans, develop own team plans, and prioritize work within the teamUnderstand the product vision and strategy for a given product and where own team goals fit into the broader context. Translates product goals into actionable steps for the teamCollaborate with cross-functional team to brainstorm, design, research, acquire, track, and seek approval for all media assets: art; photo; video; sound; animation; etc. Clearly articulate choices to cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.Onboard and manage external media vendors. Oversees development of guidelines, workflows and expectations for vendors. Monitor and report project status and guide work to ensure media assets meet expectations for quality, data capture, scalability, alignment to media strategy, budget, and schedule.Facilitate meetings and conversations with internal teams, vendors, and cross-functional peersProactively identifies risks and develops contingency plansDemonstrates a strong collaborative style through a climate of trust, respect, empathy, and psychological safetyDecisions and problem-solving are guided by the policies, procedures, and business planTrack against budgets; is aware of what impacts costs and mitigates budget risks within part of a project; raises flags early when variances emerge

What you need to be considered:

BA, BFA, or formal design degree in one of the following: art, film, audio, video, motion graphics, photography, design, or related field3 - 5 years of work experience with art buying, media research and acquisition, media development, and project managementStrong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesignUnderstanding of Web Accessibility best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Lucidchart. Jira experience a plus

The pay range for this position is between$75,000 - $85,000annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
