Design at Brex
The Design team at Brex is responsible for crafting seamless, intuitive experiences across our financial platform, helping our customers get time back so they can focus their attention on scaling their businesses. Our team is comprised of creative individuals with a wide variety of roles, responsibilities, and backgrounds, ranging from fintech startups to design agencies to Fortune 500 companies.
What you'll do
Brex is looking for a Staff brand designer to join the Design team, a cross-disciplinary group of creatives including product designers, brand designers, content design, operations, and marketing strategists. Our team's mission is to build a category-defining brand and meaningfully move key business metrics by delivering world-class creative.
Your role will be to contribute to direction and execute a variety of creative projects across marketing collateral, digital experiences, out-of-home, communications, environmental, and more. This is a collaborative role that will require you to work closely with marketing leaders, Web and Product teams, and the rest of the team to ship effective brand marketing projects and campaigns. You are a creative problem solver who can think strategically but also loves getting into the details to ensure final creative is fine-tuned and perfected down to the pixel.
Where you'll work
This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday, starting the week of January 6th, 2025. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and provide feedback to external creative agencies and vendorsThink outside of the box and partner to push brand narrative and innovation forwardContribute to the growth and scale of the design team through referrals, interviewing, and contributing to processesCollaborate closely and clearly articulate design decisions to a vast set of partners including multidisciplinary creatives on the Brand Studio team and with our internal partners across Marketing and ProductProvide cross-org input that will help shape planning and strategyDeliver and solicit feedback to continually improve the Brex brand and raise the quality and craftsmanship of our output; maintaining brand guidelines and a strong attention to detailRequirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for detailed articulations of strategy and processExperience developing creative brand and acquisition campaigns, and collaborating with marketing organizationsStrong ability to craft a clear narrative and paint a vision that aligns teamsAppetite for problem-solving and thrives in multifaceted, fast-paced environmentsPortfolio demonstrating ability to implement a combination of strategic, conceptual, and design skills crafting original, persuasive, and visually compelling workMotion Design, Video, or Illustration experience7+ years of design/art direction experienceMust be willing to work in office 2 days per week on Wednesday and ThursdayBonus points

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $187,200 - $234,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
