Position Summary
Plans and directs the activities of the Field Services Unit consisting of Mechanical, Electrical and I&C TAs; is responsible for accomplishing both the financial and functional goals and objectives established by management. Provides technical guidance and ensures sound business and professional procedures are utilized. Manages a project budget and ensures scope tasks are completed without comprising safety and quality.
Position ResponsibilitiesDirect the work of a highly skilled Field Service staff, placing particular emphasis on service objectives and profit goals.Confer with marketing department to develop new service offerings, products, and/or establish credibility in new or underdeveloped markets.Develop new service offerings and/or products, from the beginning concept to full implementation.Organize Filed Service Manager and TA staff to accomplish goals efficiently and authorizes recruitment of additional personnel, as required.Oversee and manages Field Services process, including planning, tooling, and execution.Monitor progress of projects, confers with project engineers, and review reports to see that development is progressing according to schedule and within budgetary and/or profit margin guidelines.Report to corporate SVP on a regular basis. Work closely with that officer and the directors of other Business Units to help establish long-range operating goals and corporate vision.Ensure safety work meetings are done on projects with the TAs.Hold regular meeting with client's staff. Manage the message to client's management team.Ensure the delivery and quality of daily reports.Responsible for overall TA work schedules setup by Field Service Manager.Supervise and perform administrative function for TAs.Perform evaluations of TAs.Track mechanical spare parts inventory and consumables with aid of warehouse staff or purchasing department.Prepare receiving and purchase order reports with aid of maintenance/warehouse person or purchasing department.Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems, supervise, and guide TAs in their work.Promote ideas and solutions to others by consulting, developing, and giving timely feedback to others.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.Ten years' experience in increasingly complex supervisory positions, preferably within the energy industry.Excellent verbal and written skills.Excellent technical, conceptual, and financial skills.Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.Must exhibit technical leadership and have experience with team building, process improvement, conflict resolution, and motivating people.Experience working independently and, in a team oriented collaborative environment is essential.Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to meet deadlines.Strong background in managing teams.Extensive travel required.Formal training in Project Management methods and techniques.Must read, write and speak fluent English.US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
