Job Description

The
Software Developer
is responsible for designing, testing, developing, and deploying applications for Northwestern Medicine. Mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areasParticipate in the Agile software development from concept, design to full-stack coding and testingWork collaboratively in an agile team environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear codeStay current on development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications;Provide ad hoc project status, participate in meetings and conference callsProvide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.Make informed decisions quickly and take ownership of services and applications at scaleCreate internal process improvement initiatives within team's toolsets and workflowsConduct and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to maintain coding standards and best practices.Provide operational support as neededTroubleshoot issues and collaborate with team members to resolve challenges.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.Other duties as assignedQualifications
Required:
3+ years of experience as a full stack software developerPreferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fieldWeb development using the .Net Framework, .Net Core, C#, ASP.Net, Web Services (Web API), WCF, REST, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSSMicrosoft SQL Server database design with experience in query optimizationFront end frameworks (Angular, Razor, React, Blazor etc.)Source Control: TFS, Git, Azure DevOpsExperience working in an agile environmentExperience creating CI/CD pipelines, and utilizing tools such as Azure DevOpsIAC (Terraform, Biceps)Microsoft AzureFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes
