This person will provide tactical/strategic implementation of all elements of the Zurn Elkay Business System encompassing practical application of lean operations, operational excellence and six sigma tools and processes across all aspects of the business. In this position, successful candidates will make immediate contributions through enhancing key business processes that add value to Our Customers, Our Shareholders, and Our Associates.Focus will be on helping develop operations strategy for defining and executing optimization & footprint repositioning strategy. This role will play a key role in the process to gather and analyze information regarding single and multiple-plant ability to serve customers, profitability, cash flow and capital, capacity utilization and sourcing impact and opportunities. This individual will also consolidate and integrate information to develop and propose operations strategy while tracking and overseeing projects and action plans, providing work direction to multiple people across multiple groups or functions outside of the team, without direct reporting authority.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure successful definition and execution of large, cross-functional improvement initiatives tied to annual strategic prioritiesActively collaborate in front end analysis and planning with site leadership to define strategic operations plansUtilize financial resources and ensure best solutions are defined and executed effectivelyAnalyze business performance metrics beyond direct labor cost and define strategies that improve overall costs and cash flowAnalyze multi-site issues regarding profitability by product line, capacity utilization and supply chain sourcingOversee overall work-breakdown structure efforts to ensure alignment with all stakeholdersIdentify and propose solutions to minimize and manage resource constraintsCoordinate and track the monthly strategy deployment activities and initiatives in support of meeting Business Metrics, Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Drive "best practices" in all areas of responsibilityEducate, engage, and empower future leaders by creating and facilitating lean daily management training and development programsImplement Lean processes in accordance with the organization's Lean Implementation Plan (Standard Work, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Kaizen and Pull PrinciplesOversee organizational participation in lean initiatives to achieve ZBS metricsDrive associate participation (including process experts) in Lean initiatives.
