This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Your Day-to-Day: The Supervisor of Software Development will be part of Global Engineering Services, Digital Design and Configuration Management. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Computer Aided Engineering and Digital Design responsible for the following: Manage and lead the overall governance of the WNEXUS Software Suite, consistent with the strategic vision of internal and external clients. Staff the appropriate individuals to both develop and guide the WNEXUS platform. Provide guidance and learning opportunities for the software developers reporting to the Supervisor. Work with the Software Architect to ensure an effective mentoring and skill development program is in place and active. Work with Project Manager to ensure appropriate assignment of tasks to developers and product engineers. Support the Product Engineer in overall guidance and connection of the applications to each other and outside tools (CAD, Other data sources) Manage overall development prioritization in line with changing requests throughout the year. Interfacing and guiding product owners to understand and execute the overall program vision for the WNEXUS Software Suite of Applications Work with the Product Engineer and Software Architect to standardize the software lifecycle process in Global Engineering Services Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree with a strong background in software development. Minimum of 5 years working in a software development environment. Minimum 2 years leading a team of individuals in software development. Knowledge in typical Software Development tools and languages like Java, C#, HTML, CSS, Agile, Scrum Nice-to-Have: Preferred: Training or experience managing a team using Agile methodology in project execution.
