Harnham is partnered with a cutting-edge government contractor in the DC area. They are looking for a data scientist with a strong background in building production-grade LLM / natural language platforms. This person will sit in their AI research team and partner across the business.
THE ROLEYou will build machine learning and LLM platforms to support a brand new client portfolio in various government agenciesYou will report directly into the Head of ML Research and work closely on technical directionOwn development of new platforms and help advance existing systemsYou will implement and design code and build out to production using various advanced machine learning techniquesHave the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a thought leaderHelp in mentoring a fast-growing teamYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Machine Learning Scientist - LLMs will likely have the following skills and experience:
MUST BE
Clearance eligible (US Citizen)Experience using Python for machine learning and large language model developmentCommercial experience building novel AI platforms with large datasets preferredFamiliarity with advanced machine learning approaches a plus, i.e. deep learningPrior experience leading projects is a plusHistory of partnering with non-technical stakeholders, ideally in government spacesSpark experience a plus; cloud experience in AWSPhD/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or other STEM field
THE BENEFITS
A competitive base salary of $180,000-200,000 + benefits + equity
