About the job

The Paralegal assists and supports attorneys with research and document preparation for court proceedings and legal transactions. Utilizes a variety of sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes to research and analyze legal topics. Drafts and edits legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts. Conducts fact-finding, data collection, and analysis used to prepare statements and arguments. Works closely with the company's internal and external lawyers and outside vendors, depending on needs at that time. Assists attorneys with depositions, interviews, discovery, and investigations. Manages, organizes, and archives documents with software tools and technology. Applies specialized legal terminology appropriately in documents. The normal shift is 40 hours per week, with periodic extended hours, as needed. Other duties as assigned by management.

Essential FunctionsProject management and organization of litigation cases, corporate transactions, and regulatory mattersConduct research and analysis utilizing internal and external resources, as directed by supervising lawyersAssist with document collection and productionAssembling, organizing, and circulating case materialsAssist with deposition, interview, hearing and trial preparationCoordination with outside vendorsDrafting cover letters/memosSearch for and review due diligence materialsProofreading a variety of documentsAssist with SEC filings, where necessaryNotarizing documentsMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.Knowledge of legal/paralegal environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood organizational skills; detail-orientedGood interpersonal skillsAble to work under pressure and multitask when requiredHigh degree of initiative and self-motivationResponsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations.Preferred Qualifications
