You are responsible for ensuring visual and graphic representation of the Bank’s brand and for helping to create compelling static and interactive data visualizations for our users. You support and assist business lines by designing friendly and usable creative technology solutions that meet the business needs. You will produce artifacts used by developers of user interfaces across a variety of platforms. You also help the team with digital design, production and related processes, while working closely and collaboratively with data and analytics specialist, products owners, content providers, web developers, writers, editors, designers, project managers, IT staff, and other Federal Reserve System staff. You will work within a mission-driven organization that values accountability, excellence, inclusion, innovation, integrity, and service. You will report to the Manager of Creative Solutions.
Job Description
What Will You Do:
Execute design from requirements gathering, to concepts, to handoff to developers
Create user flows, wireframes, visual designs, site maps, storyboards, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and add to style guides and component libraries
Conduct stakeholder presentations and design/prototype reviews
Design artifacts (wireframes, etc.) that work on various browsers and devices
Produce designs that are compliant with current web accessibility guidelines
Enforce adherence to style standards, actively participates in all phases of the product lifecycle, including product ideation, user persona definition, user interviews, requirements gathering, cross-discipline UX design sessions, usability testing, and data analytics
Help maintain a cohesive Style Guide for digital media across the Bank’s internal and external digital properties
Oversee design for web enhancements, supporting images, and other visual content, ensuring a user-centric design perspective
Incorporate user-interface (UI) and user-experience (UX) best-practices into design and production, including where appropriate usability testing and other user research programs to inform user-centric design
Lead design and wireframe reviews and prototyping processes, proposing design solutions to increase engagement, and as appropriate, conversion
Assess new digital communications technologies and their impact on visual content strategy and delivery; offer recommendations and work with internal and external experts to provide effective traditional and digital creative services across the Bank
Conceptualize and articulate strong, user-centered, and delightful interactions, while balancing the needs of the business and the capabilities of technology
Exhibit product ownership, present work and rationale to stakeholders, and be accountable to timelines and project needs
Assist on analysis initiatives, which may include executing surveys, compiling and analyzing research results, and drafting implementation plans
Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You Have
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design or field related to visual information design
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
Experience using wire-framing techniques to show navigation, user flow, and interaction details
Experience with user research and stakeholder requirements gathering
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in graphic design, including experience with data presentation and visualization
Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing enterprise sites and applications, responsive interfaces (including optimization for mobile and tablet), email campaigns, and other user experiences (UX) and interaction
Minimum of 3 years’ experience implementing designs and creating test-ready prototypes in an agile development environment
An online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design experience, as well as expertise in user-centric, interactive design for web and mobile platforms
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
Experience with prototyping tools (e.g.: Figma, Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq, invisionapp)
Knowledge and Skills:
Detailed knowledge of fundamental design principles that affect typography, color use, composition, use of space, and presentation of information
Solid knowledge of interactive and static data visualization and how it applies to creating impactful visual designs
Intimate familiarity with web accessibility guidelines
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript design patterns and libraries
Professional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize, estimate work, and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
