We are looking for an Associate Director to join our Life Sciences team, which supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies with commercial insights, strategy, and implementation. This role will collaborate with our cross-functional firmwide Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Automation team to shape the growth of our Life Science advisory and data services business.
Candidates should be market-facing self-starters who take ownership of their work, are enthusiastic, and have a collaborative mindset to support our efforts to sell and provide consulting solutions. You will coordinate activities across multiple projects and provide experience-based insight in commercial analytics and data-driven solution design.
As a Life Science Associate Director - Data Science, you will:
* Provide subject matter expertise on commercial data and analytics, such claims, EMR, formulary data.* Analyze client business challenges by matching them to potential data and analytical capabilities.* Develop scalable and efficient processes for large-scale data analyses (model dev, validation, and implementation)* Develop scaling methodologies for EMR and Claims datasets.* Structure and execute analytics plans (e.g., inferential statistics, longitudinal studies, and structured decision support)* Scope, sell, and deliver commercial data projects, which can include but are not limited to market sizing/ segmentation, provider profiling/targeting, provider affiliation mapping, epidemiology studies, managed care analytics, pull-through modeling / program design, forecasting, field force design, and incentive comp.* Pursue and secure new business, which includes aligning client business problems to data/analytic plans, collaborating with advisory teams, identifying scalable solutions and services, and presenting data solutions to potential clients.* Monitor and report on relevant trends and opportunities for growth in commercial analytics, real-world evidence, etc.
Manage contract budgets, develop and share best practices, and evolve our data and analytics capabilities.
What You Will Need:
Minimum Security Clearance: US Citizenship
Minimum Years of Experience: 7
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Qualifications:
* 7 years of relevant experience, which can include a combination of management consulting, commercial analytics, and/or real-world evidence generation within the pharmaceutical industry; using common analytic toolsets (e.g., R, Python, SQL)* Experience across multiple third-party data vendors, which include but are not limited to IQVIA, Komodo, Compile, MMIT/Norstella, Symphony Health, Truven/Merative, and Definitive Healthcare.* Understanding of how healthcare data is generated and processed.* Exceptional problem-solving skills, particularly with complex and multifaceted projects* Experience managing a team of direct reports, including one-on-one meetings, feedback, coaching, retention, and career progression.* Experience leading teams in data analytics and data visualization, including selecting and applying the appropriate analytical techniques for statistical analysis, predictive modeling, simulation, and machine learning.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
* Education: M.S./M.A. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a similar quantitative discipline.* Experience integrating multiple commercial and claims datasets to generate enhanced / high-quality insights.* Experience delivering fully automated analytics for software data products and services
The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
