Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will work intimately with critical manufacturing processes and equipment to produce EnPower’s battery cells enabled by key electrode technology. As a result, the Manufacturing Engineer will work closely to understand, define, develop, document and optimize electrode coating processes and process parameters as well as ensure manufacturing equipment complies with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in coating technologies, process development and manufacturing scalability. It requires a forward-thinking and creative individual who can think outside the box, see the big picture, and outline the tactical steps needed to achieve desired results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop and optimize coating processes and workflows, ensuring efficiency, quality and scalability.
Utilize data analysis techniques to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
Collaborate with production teams to resolve coating-related issues, improve yields and reduce waste.
Define requirements for coating equipment, oversee installation and commissioning.
Implement quality assurance procedures, monitoring coating thickness, uniformity and adhesion.
Maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing and quality assurance
Analyze process performance, identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
Communicate with and educate operators to define and improve manufacturing processes
Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
Maintain accurate records of activities and prepare regular reports or presentations to communicate operational status, performance trends, and improvement initiatives to management.
