ActioNet is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Penetration Tester to develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive cybersecurity program. Part-Time (not to exceed 30 hours per week) Hybrid Role - Based in San Diego (92140). Must have Active Secret Clearance. This role involves working with information resources and activities, performing research on system vulnerabilities, assisting developers in designing secure applications, conducting system penetration studies, and implementing security tools.Salary Range: 140-165KIn this role, you will:Develop and maintain a cybersecurity program covering all information resources and activities.Perform research on system vulnerabilities and assist developers in designing secure applications.Conduct system penetration studies and acquire and implement computer security incident response tools.Monitor networks to detect intrusions and brief management and security personnel on incidents.Use automated tools to perform network monitoring, intrusion detection, and reaction to incidents.Integrate security hardware/software and design or develop network security solutions.Duties and Responsibilities:Cybersecurity Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in United States Marine Corps (USMC) and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity best practices, guidance, and policies in support of ISTC within PEO Digital.Support and Collaboration: Offer direct support to the ISTC Service Owner, Project Officers, Project Leads, PMs, and Technical Leads in completing assigned tasks.Engineering and Compliance: Perform engineering design reviews, provide feedback to the ISTC Program Office, support site installations, and disseminate cybersecurity technical documentation upon completion of Base Modernization efforts.Risk Management: Ensure Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance; develop type packages; validate support; ensure design and architecture compliance to security best practices; support engineering and configuration management meetings; and manage cybersecurity artifacts.Documentation and Reviews: Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Statement of Work (SOW) for cybersecurity compliance; update the Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST); and develop MCCAST import templates for site installation accreditation packages.Communication and Reporting: Communicate with external stakeholders and contractors on project status, provide weekly reports, manage and monitor action items and deliverables, and handle risk management.Workforce Compliance: Maintain Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) compliance and manage actions related to site installation and fielding of Program of Record (POR) systems.Basic Qualifications:Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and enforcing cybersecurity programs.Experience in performing research on system vulnerabilities, designing secure applications, and conducting system penetration studies.Proficiency in implementing and using computer security incident response tools, monitoring networks for intrusions, and reacting to incidents.Strong background in security hardware/software integration and network security design or development.BS in Computer Science or similar field.8+ years of experience.IAM Level II or Equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in United States Marine Corps (USMC) and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity practices.Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity best practices.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.Proficiency in using and updating the Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST).What's in It For You?As an ActioNet employee, you will be part of an exceptional team and a corporate culture that nurtures mutual success for our customers, employees, and communities.
