You will join our engineering team of passionate learners, builders, experts, and leaders to define and implement Carta's next generation of products, platforms, and infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Product, Business, and Design. Carta's software engineers contribute in many different ways: sometimes we are shipping new product features, architecting simple and maintainable systems, or training the organization on new technology solutions. You will make your own mark here. Here are some of the teams we’re hiring for:Software Segment - this team is building the next iteration of fund administration at Carta: fully software-powered systems for private capital financials, from accounting, to reporting, to portfolio management and more. This team is responsible for taking our software-powered services business and turning into a purely software-as-a-service offering. Taking the complex domain of private capital and building the automation and tooling needed to capture that complexity are part of the day-to-day for Software Segment, as is extending Carta’s powerful event based accounting and audit system to build trust in our software for our clients’ accountants, CFOs, and auditors.Financial Reporting - You’ll be joining our Financial Reporting team of software engineers and domain experts within the App Platform organization. Financial Reporting is a compliance tool for financial audits and used by our Corporation and LLC clients. It is one of the product differentiators in the Cap Table Management and also the stickiest. We are a team of full stack and backend engineers, product manager, designer and business analysts that love hearing new ideas and learning from others’ experiences.Financial Products & Infrastructure - The Financial Products and Infrastructure team builds end-to-end financial solutions for Carta’s ecosystem. We serve both internal and external customers: companies, employees, investors, and internal stakeholders. We are responsible for all financial interactions and money movement through Carta, from KYC and AML systems to payment and banking products.Investor Access - The Investor Access team enhances the connection between investors and their portfolio companies by providing timely and accurate access to investment data. We work closely with leading investment firms to streamline data management and ensure security, all while delivering a seamless user experience. Our commitment to innovation and transparency aims to set new standards in investor relations, supporting informed decision-making and fostering trust within the investment community.About You

First, one of our recruiters will call you to tell you more about the job and company. You'll then meet an Engineering leader who will discuss your opportunities at Carta and explore your experience, skills, and goals. We’ll then ask you to show off your skills with a real-world take home exercise (we do not do LeetCode-style interviews, no one will quiz you on writing a doubly-linked list). Finally, you'll have back-to-back conversations with Carta team members on a wide range of topics, including communications and collaboration, coding efficacy and techniques, and systems design.Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans.
