On the back of that success, and in our ever-growing dedication to our mission to be the most player-focused company in the world, Riot is doubling down on our investment in the esports and fan experience with industry-leading innovations that will make our ambitions come to life.That’s where you come in.As an Engineering Manager, you will be reporting to our Sr. Manager, Infrastructure Engineering where you will participate in designing scalable and sustainable solutions for routing, switching, and protecting Riot's Esports regions across multiple titles. You will identify technical gaps and needs within technical teams and work with the feature teams in Riot to increase efficiency and improve processes. You will also lead your team with your experience in distributed computing systems and will develop high-quality, globally-scalable live services and products. You will design, hire, and grow the team as Riot matures in operating multiple esports while always creating an inclusive work environment. You will measure and be responsible for the growth and health of the team with the support of Sr. Leadership.This role will require international travel as we support global events working inside and outside the US. Expected travel is up to 20% per year.Responsibilities:

Ensure the team is building products that meet our high engineering standards.Manage a cross-functional team of systems and network engineers.Management duties include coaching and holding all accountable to best practices and their individual growth plans.Foster a diverse and inclusive team where all members feel they have a voice and are welcome.Oversee the technical health of the product and take an active part in its design & implementation.Build healthy relationships with other engineering teams at Riot to foster cross-team collaboration.Mentor engineers in best practices for the current product phase.Required Qualifications:

3-5+ years of professional experience as either an infrastructure or software engineer.Previous managerial experience.Experience in infrastructure development, including shipping one or more products or projects that span a range of platforms and tools.Experience collaborating across departments to create solutions.Proficient with implementing Scrum/Agile development methodologies and ensuring adoption within the organization.Occasionally required to lift 50 lbs; occasionally required to push/pull road cases.The ability to travel internationally for 3-4 weeks at a time.Desired Qualifications:

Experience with automation tools (ex: ansible, terraform, chef, puppet).CCNP/JNCIP (enterprise routing/switching).Experience with Palo Alto appliances.For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players.
