Meritus Medical Group – Primary Care is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work with and train under highly skilled and compassionate primary care physicians, as well as other nurse practitioners and physician assistants. This opportunity will include caring for a variety of patients using a team-based approach. Primary care at Meritus focuses on caring for the entire family, from baby to mom and grandparents and everyone in between. Whether it is a patient looking to establish care or just a quick sick visit, Meritus Primary Care providers are happy to help!Working independently and in collaboration with Physicians, the Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible to deliver care and integrate patient services with the goal of achieving specific clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes for specific patient populations and disease processes. Coordinates with the patient's healthcare team. Delivers healthcare in a therapeutic and professional manner demonstrating sensitivity towards unique patient/significant other needs. Preserves and protects the patient's autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs. Demonstrates the ability to advocate for the patients.Minimum Qualifications:

Education - Masters in Physician Assistant required.Experience -

One year experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.Licensure/Certification - License to practice as Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland required. Current DEA Registration and CDS permit required. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. ACLS in compliance with policy required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence and expertise. Demonstrated ability to work well with all disciplines at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Fluency in coding, ICD-10 and CPT, or commitment to acquire. Will have EHR computer access.Caring for Our Team
