Maine Behavioral Healthcare (MBH)
is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join its expanding team located in Springvale, Maine. The ideal candidate will provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in the treatment process within the MBH continuum care. The provider is responsible for the treatment planning process, pharmacologic consulting/integrating with primary care, and therapeutic interventions. This is an eight hours per week position. It involves collaboration with a Psychiatric NP, as well as psychotherapy, case management, and other staff. The team closely follows national ACT standards and is one of four MBH ACT teams in the system. This unique opportunity involves providing care to patients 18 years of age and older.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education:
Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.License/Certifications:
Current and valid licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence. Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry. Current DEA Registration Certificate.Experience:
3+ years’ experience inclusive of residency and/or fellowship training.Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws.Location:The York County area is home to an abundance of attractions and natural beauty.
