About the Role
The Senior Platform & Data Analyst will focus on implementing the accounting operations related to current and new projects specific to product development across the business, determining the data and infrastructure requirements necessary to properly account for new products, and drive process improvements within the PayZen platform.
You will help shape new product offerings and function as a key point of contact for all revenue considerations working in tandem with the product team to enable the accounting to be automated within our revenue reporting systems.
This role will be responsible for supporting the Revenue Accounting Product Lifecycle, and collaborating with Product Management and Finance teams. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Platform and Data Accounting.
Responsibilities
Evaluate product road maps, feature updates, promotional campaigns, and cross-platform initiatives to determine their revenue impacts and lead the team’s documentation of relevant accounting conclusions.
Own review of new products, the product’s downstream impacts to revenue accounting systems, and act as a key business partner to various cross functional teams such as Product and FP&A.
Drive the development and implementation of automation solutions, leveraging technology tools to streamline financial operations and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
Support the month end close process.
Support annual external audits by providing requested supports and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Big 4, CPA designation, and FinTech experience is a plus.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, or SigmaBI.
Experience in implementing process improvements and automation solutions, preferably within a finance or technology environment.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
