Based out of Pacific, North American or South American Zones, we have an exciting opportunity within our Mining, Minerals and Metals Segment to position a global Solution Architect, bringing together our complete value proposition of sustainability and digital transformation.

You would leverage our most relevant partnerships with (P)OEMS, EPCs and Consultants as well as our technology, software and services portfolio. You would be working within the segment collaborating with other solution and system architects and across our LoB's. You would leverage our product experts and partner network to specify digital transformation and sustainability solutions.

This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of full solution architectures that support and deliver our global MMM sub-segment Value Propositions. In this role you help lead the development and alignment of the Operational, Functional and Constructional Architectures as described in the SESAM methodology. This will be done in collaboration with our sub-segment architects (Cement, Steel, Mining, Glass) to ensure a consistent approach and method that can be leveraged across the wider MMM business. These solution architectures prescribe the most efficient ways for clients to achieve their business goals, sustainably and efficiently and helping position Schneider-Electric to be their trusted partner. They are also used in the development of Marketing and Sales collateral for Schneider-Electric and AVEVA.

OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated, visionary, and collaborative solutions architect with the ability and experience to develop deep stakeholder relationships and intimacy with our clients and partners in the MMM ecosystem. This to help our clients meet or beat their sustainability commitments, automate and digitise their plants efficiently anywhere around the world. You would be assisting our business development teams by guiding our clients on a consultative basis around their automation and digital strategy. You would provide efficiency related options supported by business case or benchmark data. Your multi-disciplinary process Technology Vendor, (P)OEMs and/or EPC experience and network will help you differentiate us. As you are well connected within the market you can act like a respectful challenger who brings thought provoking insights and expertise to our key customers, partners and would help support our internal understanding and positioning by assisting our technical and commercial teams as you also have exposure to electrification and process automation, APC and might have touched upon Artificial Intelligence.

ResponsibilitiesFollowing the most promising research and innovation in the industrial digital and sustainability fields and developing the most competitive and effective roadmaps and solutions for MMM clients.Help qualify what is in- and outside our area of focus in area based on where clients are most likely to invest.Validate EcoStruxure Power&Process options to bring process efficiency initiatives supported by digital solutions.Promote solutions for renewable energy and decarbonization through process efficiencies and/or redesign.Point out offer gaps in our global technology and software portfolio in working with our R&D team.Lead Pre-Sales engagement leading to specification in teamwork with the various lines of business.Create and leverage education & training internally & externally of the partner networks.Create green revenue, through product and solution sales leveraging our entire portfolio and that of AVEVA.

This is a critical global business leadership role, to be considered you must meet the following criteria:Your familiarity with Mining processes, pain points and opportunities mean that you are already a trusted solution sales expert. We hope you have some depth in areas of our other sub-segments like Minerals and Steel.Your existing relationships with both Technical and Operational leadership gives you credibility and walk-in rights. We hope you do not mind traveling up to ~25% of the time to be where our clients are.Your technical and sales expertise might include innovative digital solutions connected to industrial automation, energy management and maybe even energy efficiency software like Modelling Software, APC or AI.You can demonstratable a successful track record of finding and positioning automation, electrification and sustainability solutions supporting business development and assisting closing deals.You also can back this up by your Experience as a senior Engineer or Consultant that is recognized for your relevant articulated views by clients or your engineering peers in the MMM space.Experience across the full project lifecycle of projects including strategic, regulatory and stakeholder drivers leveraging (real time) client enterprise and market data.A University's, MBA would be well regarded but as a minimum we would expect a bachelor's degree in (multi discipline) Engineering, Automation, Electrification or Chemical Technology with at least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Product support / Solution support or maybe a Technical (pre-)Sales role.Qualified in a formal solution architecture methodology - TOGAF, Zachman or SESAM or other equivalent.Strong team player, ability to work successfully with multicultural teams in an international and multi-site environment.
