The
AI Architect
at Cepheid will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions in close coordination with the Data Science Team. This role involves working closely cross-functionally with Platform and Corporate teams, guiding AI strategy, and ensuring that AI solutions are aligned with our existing systems, security requirements, and regulatory standards. The AI Architect will play a critical role in driving innovation and AI adoption across the organization.
This position is part of the
AI and Enterprise Data Transformation
and will be onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions in collaboration with the data science team and key project stakeholders such as R&D, engineering, product, etc.
Ensure AI-based solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Advocate and promote the adoption of AI technologies within Cepheid and Danaher.
Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for AI integration that align with organizational goals and stay abreast of the latest AI trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the cutting edge.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
14+ years of related work experience, OR Master’s degree with 12+ years of related work experience, OR Doctoral degree in field with 9+ years of work experience.
Exceptional knowledge of data architecture principles and proven experience (5+ years) in AI/ML roles with a strong track record of successful AI project implementations end-to-end.
Strong understanding of ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
