Sr. Front-end Software Engineer (React, JS, HTML/CSS)Employment Type: Full TimeWorkplace Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)Location: Glendale, CAIndustry: SaaS/Internet Consumer ProductsCompensation: $150k-$180kSUMMARY:We're currently looking for a passionate Senior Front-end Software Engineer (React) to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development experience in React, solid computer science fundamentals, is highly skilled with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and experience with JavaScript Libraries such as Redux, Vue, and Angular.RESPONSIBILITIES:Building a platform at this scale and releasing new multi-platform features with zero downtime.Contribute to the development of world-class mobile, web, and desktop products using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React.Build new capabilities into our web platform that is used by a million people per day while maintaining reliability, scalability, and code quality.Collaborate with our product team and UX/UI designers for technical guidance in building elegant and deceptively simple experiences.Participate in the development of unit tests and code reviews.Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues.Participate in our Agile Scrum process including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Design teams integrated into our Agile "pods".REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, or related fields.7+ years of professional front-end software engineering experience.Track record of developing scalable and high-traffic web, mobile, and desktop applications.History of working on complex projects and ability to work cross-team to solve problems.Proficient with client-side technologies such as React (required), JavaScript, HTML, & CSS.Demonstrated experience with multiple frontend JS frameworks such as React (required) and MobX, Redux, Vue, Angular etc. (preferred).Strong working knowledge of NoSQL data-stores, task queues, and common architectural components.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Desire to expand your skill sets and learn new technologies.Relentless dedication and discipline in building world-class enduring software.DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Experience with Google Firestore (preferred) or similar NoSQL databases (i.e., MongoDB).Deep understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.Experience with cloud-based platforms like Google Cloud (preferred) or AWS.Familiarity with Docker for local virtualized development or other similar containerization technologies.
