Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Associate Attorney
with a deep understanding of
consumer protection law
and
debt settlement
to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage complex litigation, provide strategic legal counsel, and help set the standard for junior attorneys and paralegals. The Senior Associate will play a critical role in representing clients facing
consumer debt disputes
and
violations of federal/state consumer protection laws
such as
FDCPA ,
FCRA , and
TILA .
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Management:
Lead and manage high-volume
consumer debt ,
consumer rights , and
debt settlement
cases from intake to resolution.
Oversee all aspects of case preparation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial strategies.
Develop litigation strategies, work closely with the
Attorney Team Lead , and coordinate with junior attorneys and paralegals.
Client Advocacy & Representation:
Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients navigating
consumer protection laws , debt settlement negotiations, and collection disputes.
Represent clients in pre-litigation conferences, negotiations, and court hearings.
Act as a primary point of contact for clients and ensure their needs are fully met through expert legal guidance.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Mentor and guide junior associates and paralegals on
best practices , legal strategy, and procedural efficiency.
Set the standard for excellence in client communications, document preparation, and litigation tactics.
Legal Compliance & Research:
Stay current on federal and state regulations related to
consumer protection ,
debt settlement , and other relevant laws.
Ensure all legal work is compliant with
FDCPA ,
FCRA ,
TILA , and other applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum
5+ years of experience
in
consumer protection law ,
consumer debt ,
debt settlement , or
consumer rights law .
Proven ability to manage a
high-volume caseload .
Strong background in
litigation
and a track record of successful case outcomes.
Skills:
Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
Strong negotiation abilities in
debt settlements
and
consumer disputes .
Proficiency in legal case management software and related technology.
Attributes:
Leadership qualities with the ability to
mentor
and
train junior staff .
A proactive approach with exceptional
attention to detail .
Commitment to
client advocacy
