This position plays an important role in reaching and engaging Abbott’s 114,000 employees globally. As a key member of the Employee Communications team, this individual will work closely with colleagues leading employee storytelling and digital engagement to identify the most effective strategies, content, and activations to build employee connections with Abbott’s purpose and spread the word about the great things the company does.What You’ll DoThe Senior Manager leads Abbott’s employee advocacy program, which enables employees around the world to share Abbott news across platforms. This role will partner with business and regional leaders in marketing and public affairs to increase employee engagement with key global initiatives and deepen employee pride and connection to Abbott, so they become our most powerful advocates.Core Job ResponsibilitiesLead operations for Abbott’s employee advocacy program. Direct content strategy and lead program operations, training, growth, and expansion.Manage engagement and metrics for Abbott’s employee advocacy program. Provide ongoing engagement opportunities for advocacy members and lead ongoing measurement strategy, identifying key performance indicators.Lead and expand the network of global Abbott site communications liaisons to help connect employees with purpose and build engagement and community among the champions.Lead one or more Abbott-wide engagement program for Abbott employees globally. As requested, provide support for corporate marketing or public affairs employee engagement initiatives.Act as the Employee Communications liaison for global marketing initiatives.Must be a strong teammate who:Operates with principled leadership and sound business ethics, exercising the highest level of integrity.Can manage concurrent complex projects and balance competing priorities.Takes a global view.Is adept at managing multiple stakeholders.EDUCATIONMinimum B.A. or B.S. degree, masters degree a plusEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING7+ years’ experience in communications management, marketing, and project management.
Exceptional communication skills; presentation, oral, written, and listening.
Experienced social media content strategist and writer.
Able to achieve results while working with global, diverse populations and dealing with ambiguity and a rapid pace of change.Demonstrates proactive behaviors, assumes responsibility, and ensures accountability.
Experienced collaborator across multi-disciplinary and global project teams.
Adept project leader; able to influence key stakeholders and team members.Strong creative and critical thinking skillsSpoken and written fluency in a second language a plus
