We explore new technologies and engineer better solutions.A qualified candidate is an engineer comfortable working in multiple languages (NodeJS and Golang), knowledgeable of modern frameworks, with software integration experience, and able to define technical solutions. Collaborate with product and IT stakeholders to build an understanding of systems or RESTful APIs involved in integrationsRecommend complex integrated solutions that fulfill business requirements and align with technology roadmapsContribute to defining technical road maps; identify technical improvement and refactoring opportunitiesEnsure that all delivered solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, usability, availability, extensibility, security, and portabilityWork with product owners, product managers, and other stakeholders to refine & solution featuresProvide accurate and timely estimates for features, user stories, and tasksIdentify and implement innovative solutions to non-standard requests and problemsParticipate in code reviews and adhere to best practicesBe aware of current security trends, tools, and requirementsParticipate in rotational on-call schedules as neededWork outside of standard office hours as needed and, on occasion, support night-time releasesEnsure high quality deliverables by demonstrating leadership in code reviews and test practicesDemonstrate a strong interest in application architecture and solution designChampion well-written code and technical documentationWhat We’re Looking For
2+ years of NodeJS or Golang experience2+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs2+ years developing for and deploying to a cloud platform like AWSCuriosity and growth mindset to learn new technologies to solve interesting problemsAn engineer with a product mindset placing the customer at the center of developmentAble to design component-level solutions, write medium to high-complexity code, and handle feature requirements independently with occasional guidance from senior engineersAbility to scope and prioritize tasks on ambiguous and complex technical projects.Experience in how to build scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems, from data storage to API layerExperience designing systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability, accessibility, and responsivenessBachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent experiencePursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company.
