And that has made for achieving some truly great things.Role OverviewData Scientists play an exciting role in maturing HealthScape’s analytics expertise by helping develop cutting-edge capabilities and creating actionable insights for our healthcare clients. This role is a key player in developing, testing, and scaling new and innovative analytic solutions that directly impact our health plan clients and their customers.ResponsibilitiesSupport clients through consulting engagements in key analytic activities such as defining data needs, evaluating data quality, designing and testing models and algorithms, and sharing analysis outputs.Collect, parse, manage, analyze, and visualize large and disparate datasets using multiple platforms to identify trends and discover opportunities for change.Use advanced analytics across multiple engagements/projects, leading model and algorithm development, code development, code maintenance, and code improvement.Participate in concept design, requirement definition, analysis development, testing, and production of analytic solutions in development.Continue growing our data and analytics-focused culture across HealthScape through knowledge sharing, cross-functional training, and mentorship.Support ongoing development of new technologies and analytical competencies.Qualifications and Desired Skills2-5 years of analytics experience, healthcare experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree required in a quantitative or technology-related field of study (e.g., Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or Informatics).Strong programming experience developing and delivering analytics with languages and tools such as SQL, Python, Snowpark, dbt, Jupyter Notebooks, R, and Git.Previous experience in the application of advanced analytic techniques and the development, training, testing, and deployment of predictive models leveraging standard practices and tools (e.g., GitHub, BitBucket).Previous experience with cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Big Query. We are a Snowflake shop and Snowflake experience is greatly preferred.Visualization development expertise (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).Strong analytic skills including ability to apply quantitative and statistical analysis techniques, such as hypothesis testing, clustering, regression modeling, random forest, and gradient boosting techniques, among others, to unstructured problems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – possessing the ability to communicate and deliver complex analytics information to clients and executive audiences.Enthusiasm to navigate and continue learning in an entrepreneurial environment.At HealthScape, we pride ourselves on having a diverse workforce.
