Our Team:The Global Securitized Products Data Team is responsible for researching and supporting a $12 trillion global securitized product market. The securitized product market uses financial engineering to transform a variety of assets (residential and commercial mortgages, auto and equipment leases, managed corporate loan portfolios, credit card debt, and even music royalties) into securities that are structured to meet nearly any investor appetite. Our team supports the full data lifecycle and analytical capabilities, through reverse financial engineering, of all securitized products globally for Bloomberg.This specific team, Securitized Products Client Engagement Team, focuses on supporting our clients’ workflows and building relationships with both external and internal stakeholders. There will be numerous initiatives where you will proactively engage with various market participants (Lead Managers, Trustees, Servicers, Issuers, Buy-Side, etc) to help us better procure the data we need and fully understand our client’s data and analysis needs for Securitized Products.What’s the role?As a member of the Client Engagement team, this role emphasizes working closely with clients and across multiple teams to ensure our product is meeting current market needs and understanding future client needs. As the majority of our client’s needs revolve around our new issuance data and monthly payment information, you will be responsible for timely onboarding of new issuance deals as well as creating and maintaining extraction processes designed to automate the capture of monthly bond payment data and troubleshooting any failures. You will pair your understanding of our data with customer and market needs to ensure data is fit for purpose, discoverable, and ready for use. This role provides an excellent pathway to building domain knowledge of Securitized Products, growing your internal & external networks, and opportunities to expand your technical expertise to influence various workflows that will allow you to grow your career in many directions within Securitized Products.We’ll trust you to:Build subject matter expertise to create stronger relationships with clients while improving our data’s fit for purpose & discoverabilityCommunicate with lead managers to properly create and update Securitized Product deals in a time-sensitive environmentMaintain automated monthly payment information ensuring the publishing of quality data.Thoroughly review test failures and analyze internal workflows to identify potential opportunities for improved data quality controlsProvide industry leading customer service through our Help Desk. Leverage your understanding of our data to improve client interpretation of our data and predict their future needsGather and analyze Help Desk data to generate insights. Opportunities to turn client feedback into product enhancementsPartner with stakeholders across Securitized Product Data, Engineering, and Business to support ad hoc initiatives that will expand or improve our data coverageCollaborate across departments to improve client data discoverability through offerings such as Underwriter League Tables, Fixed Income NLP Securities Search, and various metadata management or data modeling projectsYou’ll need to have:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, STEM or related degree/equivalent experience4+ years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship now and in the futurePassion for data, finance, and customer serviceAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentStrong communication, attention to detail, and time management skillsProven understanding of customer service and engagementAptitude for problem solving and the drive to think creativelyCommitment to improving data management through the collection, classification, and maintenance of our dataAbility to adapt to changing priorities and product needsWorking proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with command line toolsWhat we’d love to see:Experience with Unix, SQL, JIRA, and PythonExperience driving client engagement to support product needsKnowledge or experience in the Fixed Income Markets, specifically Securitized ProductsKnowledge of data management and data analysis practicesDoes this sound like you?Apply if you think we're a good match.
