The Atmospheres Laboratories in the Earth Science Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center are looking for a Junior Linux System Administrator to help manage approximately 100 Linux computer systems. The successful candidate will join a team of system administrators that manage a heterogeneous computing environment that includes Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. The candidate will work closely with the team to ensure interoperability with the Linux systems they maintain, in order to support the research being done in the atmospheric sciences at NASA.Required qualifications:Three years of experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or its derivative operating systems.Basic hands-on experience with IT equipment including replacing components in a computer.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Desired qualifications:Working familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.The ability to write clear documentation.Experience with the Windows and macOS operating systems.ADNET Systems, Inc. is working with Goddard Space Flight Center to fulfill NASA’s vision for space exploration, and working with the Science and Exploration Directorate to fulfill its many missions.ADNET Systems, Inc. is an employee-centric company, committed to providing premier benefits that support our employees and their families.
